On an '89 Notch 5.0, 5spd with CC: I'm replacing the factory quadrant and can't get the pawl (small adjuster piece) off of the shaft.
The pawl is about 3/4" thick and the gap between the end of the shaft and the steel dash brace is about 1/2" ... I can't figure it out since I pulled the factory piece off my SSP (no cruise) a few years ago ... what's different, why is it giving me a headache ... and the car is unwrecked and mint (nothing bent)
Please help me if you've had a similar experience or know the solution
