Clutch Cable

I've been noticing my 1st and 2nd are hard to get into, then like 2 weeks after it started my UPR triple hook quadrant came loose and i cant get the car into gear. I think the clutch cable snapped because it wont engage. If this is the problem, can I just buy the stock cable for the UPR kit, I heard the stock is better than the after market ones. Thanks

Jack the car and remove the dust cover from the tranny. It is a rectagular shaped piece held with one bolt. Have someone depress the clutch and see if the clutch fork disengages. If so then you have a broken cable.

i usually just go into the engine compartment and pull on the cable from the firewall to see if i broke a cable.. the cable insulation will just pull right out... ive broken a few...

You mean if the clutch lever(fork) does not pull back(disengage).
