I have a 88 GT, and I notice that when I drive lets say in second gear. I can kinda hear what sounds like the clutch slipping or disengaging. It sounds like for a split second I pushed the clutch in with the gas down. Well so I decide to take it into the shop. Well right as I get there. I notice a slight grind sound when I push the clutch in. The as I roll into the shop and leave the car running in neutral I hear a slight metallic grind sould as well like something is still engaged. I left the car there and bought a 180.00 buck clutch kit. Asked them to replace the clutch. Is it possible it can be worse?
