At certain RPMs my clutch lever vibrates a lot, causing a very annoying rattle. I checked the linkage and the bolt is tight, however, there is a little play, side to side, on the bar the lever connects to and pivots from (excuse my lack of a more technical description). I was considering adding a spacer to take up the side to side play but I don't want to release the spring, because I think it would be a PITA to put back on.

The car is under warranty so I asked Ford to fix it, but they were unable to get the clutch to rattle (it doesnt always do it). Has anyone exprienced this rattle? If so what's the best solution?

I have the same exact problem, and am gonna get it checked out by the dealer in a couple weeks. It started happening right after I changed my clutch and I have no idea what it is. If I find anything out I'll make sure and post it.

You might wanna check the throw-out bearing. Either that, or something is out of alignment in your clutch assembly.

Please do let us know. Like I said I brought it into the dealer and they couldn't get it to rattle, while it does it for me about half the time.

I got the throw-out bearing changed recently and that wasn't the noise, when that went out it was making a loud knocking sound outside the car. It wasn't coming from the clutch pedal.
