My car is at the dealer right now looking at the trans again. They have decided to do the TSB for the 3650, and since it is going to be out, I might as well upgrade the clutch. I am leaning towards either the Spec Stage II or the Centerforce. Opinions? I am going to post this both here and in 4.6 tech as I value the opinions of both area's, and don't see a lot of crossover.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike

I like the Centerforce for good hookup in a daily driver. The Spec clutches are second to none for absolute hook, but I went through a II and III in my 02 and let me tell you I never really had to "break in" a clutch like that before. The Spec III really grabbed to the point I was sure I was going to break something but I never did. Also, the III was still grippy after 3,000 miles or so. The II less so, but you can tell for sure if you are running a II or III simply how it grabs differently. If you are going to drive that thing hard go for the spec II. If you want a little more driveability then get the Centerforce. I feel the Centerforce II is perfect and I run that in all 3 cars. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the info Marcus. This is car is not my daily driver, so when I do drive it, I drive it fairly hard. I do plan to take it to a few track days, but am not to interested in drag racing it.

What about pedal feel?

Thanks for all the input guys. I called SPEC this morning and talked to thier tech guy for a while. I ended up ordering a Stage 2+. It has almost the holding power of a Stage three, with the street ability of a 2 (at least that's the sales pitch). I will review when I get it broke in. Unfortunatly I live in Seattle, so once I get it back it will go in the garage until it's dry again, so the review may not be unitl about MAY! ;)
