Clutch Pedal Adjustable?

A friend of mine just picked up a beautiful 99 GT Convertible with 40K miles. No signs of any abuse at all. The clutch pedal does not engage until the very top of the stroke. I have been away from the Mustang world for a while. Do the newer cars still have the plastic ratcheting quadrant? I remember one of my older Mustangs could be adjusted by pulling up on the pedal and ratcheting the quadrant. I tried it on this one 5 or 6 times and it did not feel like it did anything. Any advice? More pulls? Stripped teeth? I doubt that the clutch is worn out because of the mileage and condition. It is not slipping at all even when running through the gears hard. Thanks..KW

You can adjust the cable where it goes into the tranny, or buy a firewall adjuster.

i think 99's and up are Hydrolic

They have all been cable clutches up until the new 2005 model.

Can it be adjusted at the tranny on a stock cable or do you mean aftermarket?

Does the pulling up on the clutch pedal thing do anything on these cars?

Thanks..KW
