Clutch Pedal Assembly Question

I have a '65 Mustang Convert with a c4 automatic transmission.
I'm currently working on getting parts together for a conversion to a T5.

I see that Virginia Mustang has a clutch assembly for sale. Will that fit with the existing brake assembly? I'm guessing that I'll need to replace the brake lever.

If you mean do you need a new brake pedal, yes you do. It is different and has a smaller pedal area to allow room for the clutch pedal. Most places sell these as pairs....the clutch and brake pedal together. The actual pedal support is the same for both auto and standard tranny.

Sorry, can't help you there. The junkyards have been very kind to me and I have several extra sets so I have never had to look for any....but any major Mustang parts supplier should be able to provide you a set. Be prepared to spend some $$$.

www.mustangsteve.com Try this site man. I got my pedals and clutch cable from him for my c4 to t5 conversion. Still in the installation process, but everything looks top notch. Dunno if you want to go with the cable or not, but it is so much easier and more convenient to round up than the alternative. Hope this helps.

Thanks everybody.

I guess I asked the question wrong. Is the clutch and brake assembly seperate units?

If so, then can I just buy the clutch assembly and install it next to the existing brake assembly??

pj1, just buy the clutch pedal, and bracket, and then buy the brake pedal PAD for a brake pedal set up with a clutch. When you get the pad measure and cut your automatic brake pedal (the part where your foot goes) down to fit. This is all you need to do.

Your automatic brake pedal will work just fine once it is cut down...no one will know.

There I just saved you 90 bucks.
