CLutch pedal height

Both configurations have my clutch pedal sitting well above the brake and it kinda bugs me. I see no way of fixing this since there is nothing preventing the pedal from traveling above the brake. I did a dearch and people seem to just accept this. Has anyone found a solution?

isnt that normal for the clutch pedal to be a little bit higher than the brake pedal?

I have a steeda adjustable quadrant/cable and can pretty much place my pedal where I please using that.

so your sayin you can place your clutch pedal where ever you then?
most clutch pedals set higher than the brake pedal from the factory. had no idea you could regulate where you actually wanted to set the clutch pedal in reference to the brake pedal.

I can set where I want.. within reason.

Right now i've got it engaging just below the brake pedal... I like it there.. (the pedal still sits higher than the brake if no one is touching it.. put it doest get stiff or engage untill just after the brake pedals height.. get what im say'n?)

I can however bring the engaging point all the way up... or make it a smidge lower.

IIRC, MM sells a pedal height adjuster.

so the clutch pedal is still higher than than the brake pedal you just can change the engament point.

As long as the cable has all or most of the slack taken out of it (usually via a firewall adjuster), I believe the clutch pedal should be higher than the brake on most folks' cars. That's how it's been on both of my notches and my buddy's, as well as all of the pics I've found of others' interiors. The thing that irritates me sometimes is how low the ACCELERATOR pedal sits, because it can either bottom out on the floor mat before reaching full WOT, or because it makes it a pain for guys like me with little feet that can't heel-and-toe the brake and gas pedals at the same time for fun little things like rev-matching while braking and track burnouts.

As far as where the pedal actually engages, that's more of a preference thing. I tend to keep mine pretty close to the floor because I'd rather be sure the clutch disc is 100% fully engaged when I let my foot off the pedal. If I have it engaging too high, I wind up getting that weird bit of over-rev between shifts because I don't always take my foot 100% off the pedal between shifts if I'm running through gears at WOT. Taking too much slack out of it with pre-load might not let the disc seat all the way against the flywheel, sort of making it a condition like where you've got your foot riding the clutch pedal. Good way to burn up a clutch, if you run it hard and it's always slipping. But if you want it to engage up high, that's your call.

Either way, leaving extra slack in the cable will make it engage lower and lets the pedal sit a tad bit lower. I don't like the idea of it being too low, either, because the pedal seems kinda floppy and the cable end can sometimes get unhooked from the quadrant (unless you've got some kind of a means of securing it to the quad, maybe with a zip-tie around/through it...?)

I have used this to place my clutch pedal at the same height of my brake pedal. It works great for me.
