Have an 86gt with a tremec3550, cobra clutch, and aftermarket firewall adjuster. Everything is less than 6months old too. Anyway the other day i noticed when i got in my car the pedal was heavy as hell. And that i'm having too adjust my cable every other day that way the car shifts smoothly again. The clutch grabs fine still, no slipping or burner and the tranny is awesome. Just wondering why its hard to push in now.

I found my cable resting against my header (new headers by the way) and the header had melted the rubber outside of the cable. The rubber on the outside melted inside and froze the cable solid. The cable was only a year old at the most. You may have a cable that is just getting old from rusting or melting. I would check to see if your cable is near your header because, it would have been a good idea to change your cable when you installed the Tremec. Or is it the OEM cable?

im thinking along the same lines as Chris. proper routing and alignment of the cable is crucial to its smooth/easy movement. double check the quadrant too, where the cable egresses it (toward the firewall). good luck.

the whole assembly is bran new, i tossed the old cable. I cant remember the brand i put in there but i paid almost 200 for it i know that. and its not resting against anything so i dunno whats up with it.
