My clutch pedal makes this really weird click noise immediately when i begin to let the pedal off the floor. It doesn't happen on the way down, it only happens when my foot just begins to release pressure off the pedal, after its been pressed to the floor. At first it was quiet, but now its loud and i can feel it in my foot, but still, it seems to be an on again- off again problem... sometimes it doesn't make the noise at all. Ive stuck my head under the dash to see if i can see anything moving around but i cant seem to find anything. The car has a somewhat new FRPP clutch and adjustable cable and quadrant, but none of this noise came along for the first few thousand miles. Clutch bites good still, right away at 2.5 inches off the carpet.

What could it be?

The noise seems to be coming from the inside of the car, under the dash.

what is "TOB"... i'm too half asleep right now for acronyms.
