so i was goin to the corner to get beer, when i got back here, in the driveway,pushed the clutch in to take it outa gear and it popped.. now its on the floor. lol my damn luck. so what would this be...quadrent? its something by the pedal im guessing as its never slipped

looks like u need a new clutch cable andor quadrant assembly

Sounds like a cable to me. Same exact thing happened to my 4 cyl, but happened 20 mins from home. Had to drive it the whole way with no clutch...

im thinking maybe the quadrent broke....if its still the plastic one? who knows. its got the fire wall adjuster on it, so thats as goin in the trash.

ok just went out and popped the hood.....cable is snapped at the firewall adjuster. i was just told if its a aftermarket quadrant, ill have to get a adjustable cable but if its the plastic quadrant, i can use a standard cable?

Just buy a new aluminum quadrant and FWA, they are like $60. Get the FRPP cable and clutch fork deal, it's only $40. Forget about the adjustab;e cable, they are supposedly not as strong as the stock style cable. I have never used one, but do a search, they are not highly regarded. With these parts, it will be good as new. For istructions, go to Maximum Motorsports website. Go to the instruction page and look at the quadrant install instructions. Very detailed with pictures.

thanks. i appreciate it. these cars werent made for southern boys to work on. my hands barely fit up to the quad lol

Hey... didn't you recently purchase this car???

I'd take it back to teh seller and DEMAND it be immediately repaired or a full refund for the purchase price given!

and all strype done was laugh. im hurt. all the wrench time i put in this thing when it was his, the bastard wont even come take the quadrant off for me lol.


yall know if thats true about the cables? i would think u could run a factory cable with a aftermarket quad. hell, i cant get mine out. i do know its a 2 hook billet...
