Last fall I put in a T-5 with the original clutch linkage. I used the T-5 bell method and also put in a diaphram style clutch. I recently got the clutch adjusted so it shifts smooth but I only have about 4" of pedal travel. Does anyone know what the heck I did wrong here?

Are you saying it didn't shift right when you put in the T5 last fall? In other words, what are the symptoms to cause you to adjust the clutch? Sounds like you adjusted so tight that the throwout bearing is way into the fingers just to get it to release. Too much slop in the linkage?

I had to adjust the cluch because I put in a new one. Right now it is adjusted so the trans doesn't grind when shifting. It works fine but obviously something isn't right. Maybe I'll just get a cable clutch setup.

If you're thinking of getting a cable arrangment, that means you're using the T5 bellhousing. If you're using the T5 bellhousing with the stock linkage (Z bar), that means you moved the pivot for the clutch fork from the right side to the left side. Is that pivot still nice and tight?
