Brand new Spec stg. 1. Ive been breakin the motor in and it has more than 500 miles on it now. The only problems ive noticed so far are.. at around 3-4 thousand rpm's both tachs get jumpy and read different. So tonite, I stART to do a 1st gear burnout and no tires smokin at all but the motor is revving and the clutch is full out. Do I need to re-adjust the clutch? (steeda adjustuble cable, spec stg. 1) i started my cAr and it will not move... Someone please help me out

So now what exactly happens (I think I got lost with the ancillary info)?

If you start it, you cannot get it in gear? How much freeplay do you have in the clutch adjustment? For breaking in a clutch, I would want just a hair. This will ensure no slippage, yet give you max travel to disengage the clutch. If that still does not help, temporarily dial in a little bit of preload (which is acceptable) and see if you can now get it in gear.

And if none of this sounds like it will work or doesnt, perhaps a hard part went south. Also make sure your cable was routed properly and did not fray.

Good luck.

the car won't grab in any gear. The clutch is not catching at all. I dont know what it could be? Should try to adjust it from the firewall? I dont know how a brand new clutch could go bad after a month. I need to get it going though

Well maybe if you diddnt power brake the dam thing you wouldnt have a problem..Sounds like you glazed the clutch over since it was reving in gear and the tire werent spinning. Try getting an adjustable cable ,or pull up on the clutch pedal till you hear it click if you have the stock quadrant.
