First off, I know I was stupid when I wound out my '10 balls out with only 200 miles on it and blew up the friction plate, almost literally....Since then I have replaced the clutch with a SPEC Stage 2+ (didn't replace pilot bearing) and recently (well over 1k miles on the clutch) have had problems with what feels like the clutch not fully disengaging. Shifting is rough, and sometimes not at all like the pilot bearing is screwed and the tranny isn't winding down. Tried bleeding the clutch with no imporvement. Before I take the next step and replace the pilot bearing, are there any other suggestions or ideas?

alrighty then, since there is no help being proffered I'll just go ahead and replace the pilot bearing since it's the only thing that hasn't been ruled out....and i destroyed the clutch attempting to down shift around 140...like i said, I'm well aware i was being stupid in the first place

Alright guys I think he learned his lesson... Grenading your drivetrain with 200 miles on the clock has to be pretty damn earth shattering.

All I can say is that with the clutch/slave combo in these cars unless the job is done professionally (and even then) it is always recommended to replace it to prevent hangups.

That's the only thing I can think of at this point so I guess while you're in there you may just replace everything that's designed to wear out like the bearing. Also make sure to check that your new clutch/flywheel aren't damaged from improper functioning.

Good luck and take it easy out there.

U sure you didnt smoke the throwout bearing during your moment of adolecent driving mischief..j/k.. no but seriously, i cant remember if the specs come with a T/O bearing but if you didnt replace it id start their. When my dad got his new Gt500 he "unknowingly" powershifted off the limiter for the first 500miles or so. same deal as yours. good luck and keep us posted/

you just turned the flywheel and replaced the pilot bearing and it was as good as new?! You can powershift again and not have to fight the shifter into each gear at high revs?
