Clutch quadrant shifts what's up with this.

Hey guys I ahve a 87 gt 5-speed. I installed a new clutch quadrant abd it is loose. Once mounted it can shift or slide, side to side. Has anyine experienced this. I think I can put a washer to stop it, but do I put the washer before or after the quadrant?

slides side to side??? sounds like something wrong with install.

the quadrant has two holes, one for each shaft. Be sure you are NOT using the old springs that the plastic quadrant had, then slip the quadrant onto both shafts, then be sure you install the pins through the shafts. You may have forgotten to put those pins back on.

What quadrant is it?? If your install is ok, sounds like it's either a pos quadrant, a broken quadrant, or something else broken with the clutch pedals.
