clutch question: motorsport v. centerforce

motorsport=less effort but i would go with the centerforce. ive hada king cobra and i loved it. they grip good for me and had a real smooth feel

Another vote for the king cobra FMS clutch.

I'd gone through 2 OE style clutches within months of eachother b4 cracking and buying a centerforce. I've got a blown 5liter and have NEVER had a slipping or any problem with my centerforce. Its even a centerforce 1, nuthin special. Just quality I guess
But, I've never used Motorsport so I can say its better or worse, just personal experience. But Ill stick w/centerforce

I have never used centerforce but i love my king cobra i know that's not you are going with but i think motorsport is good.

I would say centerforce to, not as hard pedal feel as the FMS clutch.
I have had the centerforce for a little less then a year now and I like it.

I had the FMS on a mild modded 13.8 sec Fox and I didnt have any problems with it except that the clutch feel was a little stiff. Same thing goes for my friends FMS clutch in his 94. My current combo sports the Centerforce DF in a 625 horse 342 and it runs like a charm. You'd think the clutch was stock because its so light to use. I love Centerforce and will swear by them forever. I have used a DF in my Javelin too with the same results. They also claim a to support 90% more power than stock with the same clutch feel. The secret is in the weights on the pressure plate teeth. I think the Centerforce DF is a great clutch for stockers because its such a strong clutch thats soft and it will always support all your mods in the future. Your FMS may work now but the pedal is stiffer and it will not last even with a HCI combo and slicks, let alone a SC. The customer service is amazing too. They have a great warranty and will rebuild your pressure plate for you if it goes bad even after the warranty runs out. That saves a lot of money over replacing it.
