Clutch Question...

Ok guys....i'm not too sure what's happening but hopefully you guys can help (as usual you guys do) so here's what's happening...

1.) From a cold start i throw it in first and it's fine....then second i have to be very very careful cause it usually grinds....(it kills) anybody else having this?

2.) but what i've noticed recently is switching gears has become a little harder and harder...for example if i throw it into (any gear) i really have to put the clutch allllllll the way down to the floor. I know you have to step on the clutch til it hits the floor anyways...but you really have to mash the clutch and it still kinda feels hard to switch gears...

3.and same goes when i try to throw it in reverse....i usually throw it in first , before i go reverse...but even then it's a struggle sometimes....anybody know what's going on?

if you have the stock cable and stock quadrant try pulling back on the clutch pedal to adjust the cable. sounds like youre having kind of the same problem as i am. if its an adjustable cable you need to tighten it up. that would be the first place to start...and sounds like its the same thing. if that doesnt work it could be worse

For #2....

Mine was the same.
It was so hard, and sometimes I had to almost force it into gear. Pushing "through" the floor board sucked. My damn cable was starting to pull in my firewall I was pushin' so hard.

What I did was I drilled a little hole in the cable sheath near the top, and got my tiny oil can with a real pionted spout and filled her up with oil (Gravity does this part). At first I sprayed some white grease in and the preassure from the arosol can forced it the wrong way onto my floorboard , so let gravity do it.

It all works GREAT now. befor you couldn't even push down the pedal with your arm, and it took tons of pressure with your leg, and now it is effortless.
I also put in a 1/4" bolt where the cable comes through the firewall to hold that area down. There is an empty hole there where the bracket is.

Basically the cable was grabbing the sheath, and pulling on it, not the tranny so it wasnt letting it freely shift.
