Clutch question?

OK clutch experts. The clutch on the 07 GT is hydraulic without any way to adjust the point at which it engages, or so my dealer tells me. My son and I both have 07 GTs. Mine starts to engage about 1/4 off the floorboard while my son's doesn't start to engage until almost 2/3 off the floor. Why does a self adjusting system differ so much between two supposedly identical vehicles? Has anyone figured a way to adjust clutch pedal travel without dropping the trans and shimming the throwout bearing?
Any input will be appreciated

tell them to bleed it, its a pain i did mine when my intake was off and it was still hard to get to it seemed to help alittle

Bleeding may fix that, if not they might have to repalce the clutch master cylinder.

How do you bleed the hydraulic clutch system on the 05-up GT? I didn't see any mention of a bleeder screw for the slave cylinder.

My clutch pedal has to be 2/3 from the floor for it to engage, which is somewhat a PITA coupled with the laggy drive by wire.

There is a bleeder fitting at the slave cylinder, but you do not have to bleed it there or use a vacuum pump. Just jack up the driver's side of the car about 10'' or so and very slowly pump the clutch pedal in and out for about 5 minutes. That will completely rid the system of all air. You have to pump the pedal very slowly though because if you don't the air doesn't have the chance to escape through the port in the master cylinder. The difference between your son's car and your's may be because of non-exacting tolerances between all drivetrain parts, master cylinder freeplay and a host of possibilities.

06 and newer doesn't have bleeder valve, use a vac pump on master cylinder 15in for 1 min,. Or just jack driver side and slowly pump pedal for 5 mins, if u do it fast it just airates the fluid.
