Hey all,

I am brand new to the forum and I'm not sure if this is exactly where I should be posting so bear with me please!
I replaced my clutch kit assembly on my 1998 Cobra, and I want to know how exactly the clutch fork should operate. It sits on that retaining nub in the upper left corner of the T45, held on by two prongs. When I move the clutch fork back and forth with my hand, it tends to slip off that nub. Shouldn't it be basically locked on there? Or when I connect the cable and the fork will this go away?

Does anyone have any experience here?
Thanks so much

That fork isn't locked on. The fork is a lever that pushes the throw out bearing against the clutch fingers....releasing the clutch. The fork will feel loose until the cable is connected and adjusted. Use a light and mirror to make sure the fork is on the pivot when you connect the cable.
