I moved this to the SN95 V6 forum, I will say I think you need a throw out bearing and/or a pilot bearing, either way your prolly yank'n the trans.

I actually had the same problem. What I was doing was replacing the 95 engine with a 02 engine. When I put everything together the location of the cruise control had a chip in that hard plastic going around the wire and it caught in the open position which caused my clutch issues. If you have worked on the top end of the engine at all and that cable is exposed with the hard plastic where it can get caught on something that may be causing the same issue.
