Its a street car but it's not my daily driver. I'm wondering if I should get the Spec Stage 3 or a Center force Dual Friction. Both are $300 on E-Bay. The car will have about 500hp at the wheels when I'm finished. I'm at about 330ish now. I'm doing a DSS stroker with ported PI heads, blower cams and a P51 intake. So with that being said I'm just wondering how streetable these clutches are. I go to the track about once a month and I do run slicks so it has to be able to take some abuse. Hopefully someone thats been through this before will point me in the right direction. Thanks, Kev

500 to the wheels?? I would get something a little bigger than the stage 3. That is over 600 at the motor.

Remember the bigger stage of clutches you go to, the less streetable it is. My friend has a Spec Stage 3 and it grabs like a bitch. Its a little touchy at times.

With a clutch, I would think that torque would
be the important spec.
You are right but when they advertise the clutch ratings, they assume people with cars are ****s and do not realize that a motor only produces torque. They rate them by horsepower to feed the minds of the masses.

Would a stage 3 hold enough and be streetable? I mean my hp estimate when the car is done is still up in the air. It's gonna have the p51,stoker,cams,heads and I will put my blower on it and im looking for about 15psi intercooled So i think my numbers will be up there. Should I just get a stage 2 for now then swtich out for a beefier one when the motor is done and I have some hard numbers?

I've heard really good things about the Center Force dual friction. Especially with the off roaders. And they abuse their clutches. I don't personally have any experience since I'm still using to the stock clutch.
