Im in the process of putting together a 91 lx that I bought in pieces last year. I just got the new clutch and trans all bolted in and everything seemed to go pretty smoothly. After I hooked up the clutch cable I went to test it and the trans is able to shift without the clutch depressed. it isn't because the cable is too tight because I checked it with the cable unhooked. Everything really seemed to line up and slide in pretty smooth so I am really baffled. There is a normal range of motion in the arm that holds the t/o bearing...Any ideas?
when i did it I had to get the rpm at least 3500 so it would be easy to pull out and put in differnt gears, any slower and its a lot tougher.
