alright, throw out bearing is shot, ticking is loud as hell and im tired of it, so im in the market for a new clutch since i have to drop the tranny regardless. mods are in sig, its my dd, will get a top in kit in the next couple years. whats some good clutches out there? ill probably be buying it a cj pony parts, some friends and i are gonna take a trip up. anyone heard good things of spec stage 1 clutches, kc, etc?

if the t/o bearing makes noise, then goes away with PARTIAL pedal pressure, you've got a bad clutch adjustment, and NOT a bad t/o bearing.

having said that, your mustang is stock, get nothing more than the king cobra clutch. spec clutches are too on/off, and will destroy your transmission. the k/c clutch will handle up to 300 flywheel horse. if you must upgrade to something hardcore, then get a centerforce dual friction. Enough slip to not cause absolute hell on the trans. Besides, the spec 1 is a chattering bitch, and you don't want that trash on your beloved 5.0 mustang.

after installing 3 clutches(ford racing) and then finally wiseing up to buy the centerforce dual friction i will never buy any other...i could kill a ford racing one in 2 months but ive had the centerforce for 2 years +... while your in there dont forget to put a new pilot bearing in also.. i think summit sells the ram clutches brand pilot bearing for like 10 bucks or so...
