Ok, so far two places I have called want a lot of $$ for a tune. One place wants $850 using the chip I have and the other wants $250hr X at least 2 hours plus the money for a chip - $350. YUCK. What happened to me reading about $500 for a tune?

Yeah, I think there are like 4-5 sct tuners in ONE county in about a 20mile radius from one another and prices are around 500-550-ish here. Then on top of that I think 1-2 other shops that use diff. tuners in a 40-50 mile radius. Thats not even counting the "tuner/ricer" shops that do it as well.

You could by a tweecer and do the tuning yourself. Save a ton of money, just a lot more work though.

I HIGHLY recommend Kauffman's. I have been going there since '01 when they first started way back in their old facility out in the country. Dave is a GREAT tuner and is EXTREMELY helpful and nice and he takes the time to tell you what all is going on and what he did. Chris and Matt are cool guys as well.
