I need new rotors and pads..so Im gonna upgrade to the cobra 13" rotors and calipers. Gefracing has the calipers (loaded w/pads) for $215.

http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/...G&Product_Code=M2320AF&Category_Code=46BRAKES

Steeda sells the cobra brake upgrade also..it is the same calipers, but says "STEEDA" on them. But they are $399. Does anyone know why?? It looks like its just for the calipers...and the rotors are extra.

I got mine from partshopper but the packing was pathetic. Maybe that's why they took the item down.

what do you mean what's the difference. The prices ARE NOT the same. I told him not to go to steeda because their upgrade kit does not come with rotors and GEF racing doesn't have the kit they sell the parts all separately.

WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! I got my RED COBRA calipers for like 250 shipped... BUY THE RED ONES!!! LOOK SWEET!!! Came with hoses banjo bolts and the washers!!! I bought 13 inch drilled and slotted rotors for the front and stock drilled and slotted rotors for the rear for 200 shipped!!! So 450 for an awesome look! Keep in mind! If this car is daily driver dont go cross drilled they are known to crack! Slotted looks great! But if your going for the look red calipers is what you want!

First off. Do I need to use different brake hoses and banjo bolts? or will the stock ones work. Also do I need some sort of mounting bracket that the Gefracing calipers do not come with???

Second, Is it true about the cross drilled rotors cracking as a result of daily driving? On Gefracing it says that the slotted and cross drilled rotors are "not recomended for track use" so that would imply that they are for street use ...right?

I think im gonna get the red cobra calipers from Gefracing.com ...they come loaded with pads for $215. And also there are some 13" Brembo rotors on ebay for $159.

WARNING!
The third part of the complete kit is new brackets to relocate the calipers to fit around larger rotors. Make sure your kit has that.

Speedconcept.net has some great prices. But some of the prices make no sense. Like why the bulit brake kit is more than the cobra, and why regular rotors oare more than crossdrilled, Am I missing something here is there a catch. And if I was going to order Any one of the kits with slotted rotos and red calipers would I get everything need to do the install, and would the upgrade work with stock 2000 GT wheels?
