I have a question about cat-backs for Cobra with an independent rear.

I have an appointment scheduled for saturday to put on my Borla cat-back. I did the Stinger on my GT myself put it took awhilie cause I had to jack up the car. I also did not cut off the old exhuast. I took off the shocks to drop the axle and slid off the old system in order to save it just in case.

So taking it to a shop, with a lift, how long for this one?

Not too long, should be quicker than on the GT because everything hangs below the car, just 4 bolts and the hangers to deal with.

I am having mine done next week. The guy at the shop told me he would charge for for one hour of labor so i am guessing it will take around a hour?

I was wondering how hard this was to do. I know it is only 4 bolts. but the peopel at the shops make it sound like it is a lot of work. they said that some times the pipes do not come bent right and they have to rebend them to get them to fit. They have to make everythign line up. All of the shops i went to when i was checking rates said that it woudl take anywhere form one hour to two hours. what are your thoguths on this? Can i do it my self in my garage?

Do it yourself. It's a much easier install on the IRS. On a lift it should only take 30-45 minutes for a pro. As far as the shop bending the tubing, I'd be a little scared. They could screw up your exhaust flow pretty good.
