Cobra foglights wont fit?? Need help

The bodyshop called me today telling me that my new foglights wont fit onto my 96GT. Ive got a Cobra bumper going on and smoked fogs to match my smoked headlights. I ordered the lights and the brackets but they insist that they wont fit. They said theyd have to cut either the bracket or the mounting point for them to work so whats the deal? Did I forget to order something?

and you are using Cobra lamps wth the Cobra cover? as Gt lamps are different? did you buy OEM or aftermarket?

I had no problems installing a take-off 9 cobra bumper on my 2000
Even the electrical connectors were the same

Yes Randy. Theyre smoked Cobra lamps from 50resto. I got the brackets from there as well.

yup, that's where that aftermarket crap gets people in trouble, thier add says 1994 to 1998 but FoMoCo says differently, as 1994 and 1995 is the same cover and lamps and 1996 to 1998 is the same. so there going to have to be modded to fit

junkyard, off a 1996 to 1998 Cobra or from a Ford dealer, as the brkts are still aval. pricey at @$60.00 each retail, part # is F6ZZ-15266-A for R & L
