how hard of a job is this? i have plenty of time to do it, and my dad has a garage with tools etc, he has decent car knowledge, but he doens't know much about newer engines most of his knowledge pertains to the older cars he works on, im wondering how hard of a job is this i'd really like to save the $ that i'd have to pay a shop to install this, im also wondering if anybody could direct me to a detailed tutorial with pictures (hopefully) of how to do this, information of any kind about this will be greatly valued and i will be very thankful.

piece of cake. just drop the screen in there then put the grommet in the hole then the valve follows. thermostat housing is only 2 bolts. i got my bolts on ebay. do a search for mustang intake bolts.

Do it yourself. I took a weekend to do mine, because I worked slowly to make sure everything was right.

The longest part was cleaning the old gasket surface off of the heads.

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/Detailed/614.shtml

That post helped me out alot.

you will need a gasket set (felpro ms95952 will work) you can reuse 4 of the 6 bolts for the stock upper, you will need two 6.5" long bolts (grade 5 or 8)for the longer center ones though. You will also need a thermostat, and thermostat gasket. I replaced my pcv valve, pcv valve grommit and pcv valve screen (got from dealership).

anyquestions ill be happy to answer them.
