As for the wheels, I'm using the same 2000 GT wheels you've got for a while, but I'd like to go with 18" x 8.5" Foose wheels. I'm not sure if the +38mm offset and 7" backspacing is enough to get them in there or not??? The backspacing ranges from 4.5" to 7" and offset ranges from -25mm to +38mm. On paper it sounds like I can stuff them in there. I'd love to get a 10" wide wheel in there with that backspacing!!!!!!

Nice fat wheels would be nice but I don't know if 10 inches will fit. Once you get the IRS mounted up, you will notice that the bolt that holds the rear IRS cradle to the bracket sticks out a bit and might interfere with the tire itself. I havn't measured the difference on mine yet but I don't think there is more than an inch of clearance with the 2k GT wheels. Maximum Motorsports does make a low profile bolt which is a domed head that uses an allen socket to install. I purchased a set of these but the bolt was not nearly as strong as the stock ones. While swinging the rear up and tying to allign all the brackets with the holes(by myself) I buggered up some of the threads but doing the same thing with the stock bolts, they didn't show a scratch. Once you get the IRS mounted you will have a better idea what you are working with. For me, I will probably look into some of the saleen/speedline replica wheels which I saw came in the sn97 backspacing. I will probably have to do some measuring myself but I may be able to squeeze a 9 inch in there.

I can't really help you guys with brake info. because my brakes aren't stock, but you can get a 9" wheel under there pretty easy. For OE type wheels in s197 fitments work well, just be sure to run the sn95 stuff on the front. To fit a 9" wheel you need around 6.750" b.s., I have 9" with 6.42 & had to roll the CRAP out of my lips but a 275 does fit.

Thank you for the info bstrd86. 245 width is a bit small IMO.
