SOOOOO, some may recall a few months ago (after rebuild) I was having a starting issue and running issues. Well everything except my starting issue has ironed out. I am replacing the PCM, mainly because it was soldered once already (SIG RTRN) and I believe the PCM is not handling my Cold Idle correctly. Only codes I have are for the EGR and Secondary Air (both have been gone since before I owned the car).

I can get a good deal on a X3Z computer, remaned. Its a $10 difference between it or another A9P. My question is - Will I need to ditch my 76MM C&L "calibrated" (I know its not actually) for 24lb injectors seeing as I am installing a PCM with a function table written for 24 lb injectors?

I could be wrong, but I think the old Cobra MAF's were cal'd for 24's. So you could maybe use the one you have, worst case you would have to track down a Cobra MAF.

Replacing the MAF isn't horrible, I just wan to make sure I'm not going to essentially trick the computer into thinking I have 36lb injectors because of its 24lb table. Right now the C&L tricks the computer into thinking its got 24's simply by increasing airflow across the meter.

Do not get the cobra computer . Get a regular re man. Even cobra guys switch to Regular computers as they start to really play with the car . As far as meters you would need a stock style cobra meter or say a pro m and state that it has a cobra computer . Personally you should ditch that POS c&l . As someone who has had both the pro m is night and day diff .

I have a x3z and wish I woulda went with the a9l I sold before trying them both I'm having nothing but trouble and there is very little options for mafs besides custom tunes with 24lb injectors if you went with something besides 24s you could probably just go with something that tricks it but I haven't tried that so idk how the computer would respond to that being the transfer is different. I'm definitely going to be hunting an a9l in the near future.

Pro m makes a meter to do what you are looking to do but there is a definitely a limit

Stick with the A9L. The cobra computer is not an upgrade.

The x3z is a great way to run 24's with a stock MAF. There is nothing wrong with this setup.
just make sure the maf is cal'd for the ecu you run...
