Anyone know if the compression ratio would be differant if you put 03 Cobra forged pistons in a 98 GT with stock NPI heads? I came across a great deal on a set of pistons, and plan on using them with forged rods. They appear to have a significant dish in the top, so the Cobra ratio is in the 8's I'm sure. Just not sure about chamber sizes between DOHC and SOHC heads.

I don't know of anybody rebuilding their 03 - 04 cobra engine that has used the same brand pistons, they are the weakest link in the bottom of the engine, there have been issues with the teflon coating coming off, they are not that good, I would use another brand.

Yes, this is because of engine durability. If the chambers are close to the same size, and the Cobra pistons dish drops compression, that would be awesome because I think I could turn the blower a little faster and gain it back plus some.

My max power out put will never be over 400rwhp with my M90 Eaton blower, and that will be with a 50 shot of spray. :bang: The little huffers just run out of breath up there, and I got 7 pistons with 18,000 miles on them for $140. :)

I think I will use them.
