I know in the classic world some people frown upon making clones and stuff.....so im asking for your guys input here...i am ABSOLUTLY in LOVE with the looks of the cobra R...Would it be a NO NO if i were to pick up a 99-00 cobra and make it look like an R?

Not at all, provided you don't attempt to pass it off as a "real '00 Cobra R."

The problem with creating a Cobra "R" clone is that the few people who know what an "R" truly is when they see it are the same people who would probably turn their nose up at a clone.

I wouldn't turn my nose up. It would look great...I just don't like seeing Cobra badges on V6 and GTs.

1. Hood
2. Front Spoiler
3. Hood
4. Recaro Seats (Gorgeous)
5. Wheels: 18x9.5 Silver Version
6. Side Exhaust (pretty much has to be fabricated)
7. Rear Seat delete
8. No A/C, No Radio
9. V6 Rear Bumper (no need for exhaust cut outs since it has side exhaust)
10. Brembo Front Brakes
11. 5.4 330ci Block
12. T56 Tranny

Those are the most obvious differences that come to mind, I did what you are talking about a few years back and the thing that I felt like that set mine apart from most, is doing stuff the right way... You can buy all parts aftermarket or you can buy the FRPP parts and believe me, they are made better. The Cervini's hood was no where near as nice as the real FRPP hood for instance (found out the hard way after buying the Cervini's first)... Also one more big thing, don't buy the Cervini's Front bumper, use your stock Cobra bumper and buy the splitter, then you can take it off when you are traveling to and from most places. You won't want to leave it on all the time, it's way too low and after having a piece of retreat fly into mine, I put my original front bumper back on and bought the FRPP splitter and said F*** it and put the holes in my stock bumper to be able to attatch the splitter at show's... it looked great after all was said n done... but the trial and error sucked... $$$$, please learn from my mistakes...

Why would the side exhaust have to be fabricated? Borla and Steeda (made by Borla) offer the exact exhaust that is on the 00R's...

I have no problem with people making a replica (or the car they wanted) just as long as they don try to pass it off as the actual thing or rice it out. Go for it!

Put a blower on it, the thing would fit under the raised hood.
