cobra rear brake problems

I recently ordered a set of cobra rear calipers and rotors. when i tried to install them i found that the claiper didnt reach my stock GT backing plates. so i found a kit from ford racing ( PN M-2300) this kit came with cobra backing plates. i installed these and reinstalled the cobra rotors and calipers. every thing fit great. but when i test drove the car the RR rotor moved out and rubbed against the caliper bracket. its only when i make a hard left corner. i check to make sure the axle isnt falling out and its not......good right? any other ideas?

Is there much endplay in the axle? Also, which caliper brackets do you have? the cobra ones or the GT ones? I had to grind out the inside of my GT brackets a lot to get the rotors to clear.

Has to be axle related... maybe the axle itself is flexing or more than likely the axle bearings are shot...

The reason I say this is that in theory the position of the axle (tire wheel etc) and the brakes are fixed since there is no relative motion designed in around them. With that being said you have relative motion so something has to be flexing or moving around under these hard loadings.

calipers

i ordered cobra rear calipers and they came with brackets. so i assume they are cobra style. they also slook alittle different than my gt brackets. the gt's were open on the outside where as the cobra ones are connected.

I ordered the same kit and I don't have any problems.
So I'm thinking 94-302-vert is on the right track.

Yea I agree with the bearing theory. Make sure a c-clip didn't pop out
