If i want to upgrade my rear brakes to the cobra version, do i need to buy new calipers or just the rotor/bracket mounting kit? I've been told that the rear calipers/pads on the gt's are the same as the cobras but the cobras have bigger rotors and the different bracket. Is this true?

Seen this thing yet ? Speed Concepts - 2262011 - 13 Baer Rear brakes upgrade kit for 1994-2004 Mustang GT/V6 I think steeda makes a version too. Might be something to look in to.

wow, thats pretty cool..and they are 13"! I read a couple reviews it sounds like the baer slotted/drilled rotors arent vented so they make an annoying popping noise. Here is the steeda version though, looks like a good idea..

Why are those 13 inch adapter brackets so expensive? I would like to buy just the brackets and get some plain rotors separetely to save some money. Anyone know if I can get just the brackets or if I can find a cheaper kit?

This is a questions that I have been trying to find the answer for too. Do you actually need different calipers?
