i had been thinking of getting a 1996-1998 cobra rear bumper cover for my 1995 cobra, you know the ones that say cobra....i had called a local ford dealership about one...do you know how much they want for one??? $439.00
i was like good lord, so after looking around i found one at a local salvage yard( all they sell are mustang, firebird, and camero parts) for $195.00....

I piced up a brand new one from Ebay a year or so ago for 240.00 shipped. It was OEM Ford too. Don't know if they can still be had for that.

Nice. I paid right at 200 for mine from a local kid, it originally came from a '97 Laser Red Cobra. Now it's Crystal White w/Blue COBRA lettering.

Hands down best change I've made to the car, along with the Graphics Express side stripes..

how did you color it???....the one i found is red, i want its black...should i get auto paint and have it painted or should i go ahead and have a professional do it??? i plan on having my car repainted in a year....

We painted it along with my hood and sidescoops, and respraying the front bumper and sideskirts. My buddy back in Louisiana was a painter for a living so it was easy.

Get it painted pro. Make sure they use Epoxy primer on it too, otherwise you'll crack the paint re-installing it.

Many paint guys will do side jobs if the part is not on the car....

There are also gypsies out there who only work on bumpers and fenders, I used to deal with them outside Boston and they typically did good work. But if you are going to repaint the car...why not just grab some cans of paint from AutoZone or O'Reillys and play graffiti master for now?

You will like the Cobra rear bumper, I like mine. I had my front bumber & Cervini hood painted at the same time. Bought mine locally used for $175.

Well boys I would hate to say it but i just bought fr and rear skins for way cheap. I work at a Ford dealer in Quesnel BC Canada and i just payed $300 for both. 160 fr and 140 rear. Make buddies with a guy from your local store he gets the same deal

i have an older 50resto catalogue right here and it says they have a 96-98 cobra rear bumper for $229.....but I cant find it on the website. Did they stop selling it?

i have a friend who works at a ford dealer but didnt think he could get them for that cheap.

when i called a local ford dealership they told me $450.....thats a rip off....
