Ive been thinking about a forged short block a lot lately. I can probably get a 03/04 Cobra short block for less than $2K. Then i want to upgrade my S trim to a T trim and push a lot of boost to get into the 600HP range. Does anybody know, with the cobra short block, would the compression ratio be too high to push maybe 20psi? Would i be better off getting a different short block?

03-04 cobras have 8.5:1 compression. I'm not sure if the 2v heads would change that or not. I'm sure someone on here knows. If you maintain the 8.5:1 you can throw 20#s at it with no problems.

With PI 2v heads you're going to see about a 10:1 compression ratio, which is really kind of high for any level of boost. Your going to have to pull out alot of timing, which is bad, and run high octance to prevent detonation. With a centrifugal blower, you will need around a mid 9:1 compression ratio, or maybe lower with that much boost.

compression will be too high , just get a piston and rod kit for your current engine , probably run you a little over a grand

The stock Terminators have an 8.5:1 compressiong but, that is w/ the 2v heads. I would think that will raise since the 2vs have a 9.5ish:1 compression.
