WHy don't they offer a snake??

It's because a cobra won't fit in the grill of the typical Cobra grill insert. You would need to modify the grill by cutting the top bar off. Even then you lose the mounting for the grill emblem.

Also, there aren't that many Fox Cobra's out there...only about 4000 or so remaining. How many of them are willing to cut their OEM grills to make a snake fit the grill??

I think the pony looks better anyway

my guess is the company is not cobra, its a ford "mustang" cobra.. so they keep the horse on it.. my buddy has searched every square foot of his parts warehouse which is the biggest warehouse fords has in the states i think its 7 foot ball feilds long by 3 wide.. and in 2 years he said they do not have a single cobra for the hood... i showed him a number of pics with cobras on them, and we narrowed it down to people taking the cobra side emblems and inserting them where the horse goes..

Well, you dont have to worry about it because there is one coming out that will fit in your grill. A few months and it will be out at carmedallions.com

I hate it when people put snakes on GT's or LX's... It's like putting "Type R" on a civic dx.

I don't understand what the big deal is. I mean 90mustang_gt5.0 you have 99 cobra wheels on your car. Whats the difference from wheels, seats, body kits, and emblems? In all the performance numbers the lx coupe could've been a cobra. The coupe is lighter and has cleaner lines. I only started liking the 93 cobra body style about 5 years ago. I mean they are nice but, I'd much rather have a lx hatch or coupe. I don't think it should be a big deal to put a cobra emblem on any car when all people use cobra hoods, intakes, brakes, wheels, etc. The main thing I disagree with is putting a total opposite car manufacture's motor in a car. Thats wrong!

I think the major reason for people being against putting Cobra emblems on a non-Cobra is that non-Mustang people are not intelligent enough to know the difference. They know enough to know that Cobra = best Mustang. SO when they see Cobra emblems, they think it is a real Cobra and therefore "The best"

Now sometimes a car can back those stats. Other times it's a V6 Mustang putting Cobra emblems on it. Then a honda civic totally ass-rapes the V6 and posts all over a message board that it beat a SVT CObra Terminator or some other spew of lies. That's the reason why so many people are against putting Cobra emblems on non-Cobra Mustangs.

Parts are one thing. My own LX has Cobra taillights, Cobra Intake manifold and even front Cobra calipers with the word COBRA written on them. Would I ever put a CObra emblem on it? Never. I actually have a Cobra grill insert myself and think the pony looks 10X better.

Several of my friends have CObras. One has a '97 and a few have '03/04's and I always tell them i think the pony looks better in the grill than the snake emblem does.

I Like both. I like the cobra emblems and the ponies but, I was just trying to get something else out there because it seems like alot of new styling for the foxes has come to a hault in the past few years. Who cares who beats who? I mean is everybody that proud that it matters if someone beats another? Alot of people think they win all the time but, lose and the other way around so whats that point.
