awesome!

i just love both vehicles but the mustang is great! my stang is a 66 coupe originally with a i6.i hope my stang is looking alot like yours in a few years. i've got my down to bare metal right now awaiting transplants to both lower rear quarter panels. i've had to replace both floor pans and one side of the trunk pans due to rust. i've got a nice 302 and a aod awaiting to put in it.

mine was found in the desert here in Phx. 2nd owner car , hadn't been driven since 1978. Totally disassebled and soda blasted no rust anywhere!!!! had a few dents, etc ...it cost almost as much $$$ to build the mustang as it cost to build the cobra..time wise the cobra took 7months...I did everything including body work and paint (did have a little help with the wiring) the mustang took me exactly 1yr,,,i put in a 5.0 with aod, no efi though, went carb!

i'm also going the carb route. what is ,if any, problems you encountered putting the 5.0 and aod into the stang? i,ve heard possibly some problems with some of the linkages and also about shortening the driveshaft.

no problems at all, used all LOKAR SS cables & brackets..actually although I also heard about shortening the drive shaft I had to have a longer one made..!
