So about once a week someone gets on here and starts a thread about putting a cheap eaton they found on ebay on their 2v mustang....how long do you guys(and gals) think it will take for a company to catch on to this and design a lower intake manifold to match out 2v heads and make the cobra piece a bolton? I dont speak for everyone but I think if someone can design this and sell it for under 1000 for a complete kit(manifold, throttle cable, throttle body, etc), they would sell like hotcakes! somebody needs to get on this

there is someone out there doing just that, and if i recall the complete kit would be just around 2k.

if i still have this crummy 2v i will be one of the first to get the full eaton setup kit if it ever becomes a reality.

i think it was closer to 3k, don't remember the site though


kit looked a little crude, most likely a prototype, but if the finished product looks halfway decent and can put down over 400rwhp i'd buy one

3k + supercharger for an Eaton.....just buy a new centri thats proven not to bust open from being jerry-rigged

i dont think it would be jerry rigged...look at the centri blowers, its the same idea and head unit with different install kits. I think if a company could do it for less than 1500 they would sell them like crazy. If ford racing did it they could even make it to the point as to not void warranties...just an idea.
If I had the means of manufacturing a kit for 1500 or less and selling them on this site with proven HP gains and reliability, tell me I wouldnt sell at least 50 to this site alone Some company needs to get the ball rolling here...

for the same price and relative hp (it's the bigger M112, not the M90) i'd spend my money on the roots over the snail anyday, i prefer my torque off idle

being a "jerry-rigged" kit is yet to be seen. may end up being a show quality kit

Haha, I have one sitting under my bed. Ford Racing already did it (kinda). The FRPP roots style supercharger is the same blower as the 03 Cobra (M112 Eaton) with a PI or Non-PI specific manifold built into it. While you can't swap a blower from a Cobra into it (not that you'd need to it's the same blower unit basically), it's the same thing internally. The big downfall is the fact that you can't run any sort of intercooler with it, because of the design. This setup slings the blower UNDER the manifold, between the valve covers. You're stuck with either nothing , or like in my case, Methanol injection. I really don't see a manifold kit coming out to adapt an 03 blower, because the design on the casing would not allow it to fit under a GT hood, it would be too tall. If you really want an M112 Eaton on your car, then I would suggest looking into this setup.
