I am having a pesky code 67 and it is keeping me from running any KOER tests. What wires can I hook up to get rid of it? I have a 90 2.3 auto car that was converted to a 5.0 auto, so the trans harness plugged right into the trans, I didnt do anything weird there. However, I did notice that there were a couple wires in the tranny tunnel that appeared to have been cut off at the factory or something, they were right in the grommet. But I never had that code with the 2.3 engine harness so I think the 5.0 engine harness is the problem. What should I do?

yes it is, it keeps the engine from starting except in park or neutral. i am thinking there is some mismatch of terminals in the rectangular connector alongside the PCM, that goes to the body

The neutral switch on the 5 speed trans has nothing to do with keeping the starter from cranking the engine.

Try grounding pin 30 on the computer. From the diagram, it appears that it is safe to do so.
If that does not change the code 67, make sure that pin 30 is not grounded. Without any grounds,
it will have 5 volts on the wire.

I have an AOD...

And...doesn't the EEC-IV change idle parameters depending on whether the trans is in neutral or in gear? Like to keep from stalling at traffic lights? I know it uses the VSS for that, but doesn't it use the NSS too? Just wondering...

Thank you jrichker!! Grounding pin 30 at the ECA was the solution.
