G'day ladies and gents just wondering where the cars ID numbers are the VIN is easy i got that but juist wondering where the number is that will tell me the miscellaneous stuff like interior colour and body colour and stuff like that i know It's there cos I've found a site to help me decode it www.jerryodom.com/mustangcodes.html so any help is appreciated.

There should be a metal tag on he driver's side door.

I'm assuming it's a 69, right? If it is, you can always order a History 999 report which is free and will give you several of the original options. Call this numbr and give them your VIN and they'll mail you the report. 1-800-392-3673

You have to make sure the tag on the door belongs with your car! There are plenty of instances where a door was replaced with a junkyard door, and by by factory tag. CHeck the vin, and see how the codes match up to what you have on the vehicle.

My tag is original, but my exterior color and transmission have been changed from factory equipment. Amazing what you might find.
