Code puller question

Hey everybody. I'm looking for recommendations for a scanner. I've made do without one until now and I think it is finally time to take the big step. I'm looking for recommendations. I searched the posts and saw some recommendations for a predator. In a perfect world though what I'm looking for is a scanner that can do OBDI and II (I have a 98 and an 88 GT). Something that can read all the codes, not just the generic ones, can clear codes if it finds one, and can be updated in the future (The new mustangs look pretty good). Can the predator data logger do all that? Any thought would be appreciated.

Predator can only do OBD-II. If you want 95 and below you can buy another scanner for real cheap. I've seen them less than $20.

Thanks for the input. Do those cheap OBD I scanners read all codes? This might be a stupid question but do 95 and older computers have generic and specific codes like OBD II?
