Hey guys. I have a 92 Lx. Can't figure out the koeo/koer method so was hoping there was a good code reader I could scoop up. Any recommendations?? Thanks in advance!

Dump codes sticky.
Look at the top of the 5.0 Tech forum where the sticky threads are posted. One of them is how to dump the computer codes. I highly suggest that you read it and follow the instructions to dump the codes.
The hook up instructions are the same for the jumper wire and code reader.

Just plug it in directly to the test plug under the hood.

There is a $28 extension harness that allows you to plug the harness in under the hood, and sit in the driver's seat with the code reader. That allows you to keep the clutch pressed in and avoid code 67 as wel as blip the throttle at the end of the code reading to start the cylinder balance test.

I hate that the cable costs as much as the reader though. Alternative is just have someone sit in the car.

But my opinion is that is the only code reader anyone with an OBD1 Mustang should own. Seeing a number is better than counting blinks

True. The blink way was confusing to me. My reader and extension wire should be here tomorrow. And yes. It is sad that the extension is same price as unit
