i also have a set of 8 with about 30K miles, and 6 more with about 200 miles. if anybody needs them let me know. i'm on my 2nd PI motor in my 98, and these are the leftovers from the swaps. Right now they're just taking up space in the parts bin.
i am going through the same nightmare, but mine started when i install the shaker system. my number 8 cylinder coil got wet, and i had the stuttering misfire, only undere heavy load. i replaced the coil. now about 2 months ago it happend again, replaced it again, it was fine, started thinking of a way to make a shield to prevent them from getting wet. now for the past 3 weeks, the newest one has been bad. i took it out left it in the ouse for 3 days to dry out, but it still sucks. so i made a cover today that covers all 8 of the coild and injector, it covers the whole fuel rail, now water wont get in there, but i still need a coil.
what happens to the boot from being wet? they were not soaked, but when i pulled it out of the ehad the boot was wet for sure. i thought after dring out it would work, but no such luck.
super dave, how much for one coil shipped to 60102. or maybe ill buy 2 or 3, so i have backups. lol
