Well, we just destroyed one of my stock front shocks trying to get the stinking coil sleeve over the shock. (gas came out
) There is a lip there it it wont go ever it...not even close. So I thought it was the "gold cap" the instructions was talking about (no gold cap BTW). So do after market shocks not have this lip? Or do we have to grind it off or what? It will NOT beat off either as its tach welded. The hole tubular K is under the car, but this part is killing us.
Oh and I have to buy some shocks now, so what should I go with? 2004 GT with alot of N/A mods(cams, LTs ECT)...its my 100% DD, and I am not a "twisties" guy, staright line for me. Just want it to still handle good and not be all over the place lol. Maybe about as good as stock, but something thats good for the track too. the front coilover springs are 14.5 X 175#. Its the PA kit here on MD. Thanks guys, I really need some help here.
I was wanting it to be ready for a date I have this saturday night but... now
. Oh well, ill just have to take my dads 00 stang (V6).
BTW PICS OF A COILOVER SETUP WOULD BE GREAT SO WE CAN FULLY SEE HOW EVERYTHING GOES.
