I have a 69 coupe with a 302. I have standard springs cut down 1 turn and te car still rides pretty high in the front. Are the 620# 1" drop ok as a replacement to get it down? Should I replace them with the 620s?
I agree 620s would probably be equivalent to what you have now, try cutting coils off the 620s, that should do the trick. Or just get a bigger, heavier engine to weigh the front end down
When cutting 620's to lower the car you need to measure the coil and remove approximately 1.25 inches from the center section.
Find a coil spring shop near you. I used one in Concord CA. (Coil Springs Inc.) and they made the springs for my kitty then after all was installed I took the car back to them and they adjusted the level. Less than $150 One inch drop and stays level in the corners. Ride is not too bad.
i put some 1" lowering springs on mine, and it did the trick (not in the vid)
might be a hair too low actually (or i could probably get slightly smaller tires)
of course we have different year cars - so thats something to consider too
old height
new springs
*and lets leave hoopty out of the conversation of my pics this time guys, thanks
