I have my new front coilovers adjusted all the way up, and they are still to low. The car is really raked. I think that's the right term? The ic pipe drags alot now. So I'm going to have to find a better way to route it.

I thought about cutting a coil off the back springs? Hows it being raked going to effect my 60' times?

Thanks

why stock rear? you always mod the rear first, axle deflection is huge on a stock rear. that being said, you need to lower the rear.

Because every bushing ball joint and tie rod end was out of the front. The rear was still solid. I pulled a 1.66 60' with that old stock rear end and 17" drag radials.

Pics of the setup. You should be no where near maxed out with 14" 175# springs (I ran the exact same springs...up graded to a little stiffer now). I was maybe half way up on the coilovers and my fender gap was close to stock. Also take pics of your CC plates.

Something isnt right.

I'll get some cell pics in a couple minutes. I know I can not physically twist the adjuster nut up any further with my hand.

is that good? if it is then cool. the problem with the stock rear is there is about an inch of lateral movement when cornering, easily fixed with a watts link or panhard bar.

Your doing it by hand? get yourself a C clamp and turn it with that

The spot mine was at, it was WAY WAY past being hand tight. It was hard to turn with a C clamp after I picked it up to near stock ride height. Now when we first got her going, we had it hand adjusted and she was SLAMMED. I adjusted it a LITTLE more (with a C clamp) and got about a 1/2 inch fender gap up front LOL. From this point on your just preloading the spring down. You may want to adjust the spacer on your CC plates depending on how high you go.
Refrence your CC or coilover instructions if needed, to determine the proper spacer needed.

You will have to preload the springs, coilover kits usually come with a spanner wrench so you can turn the lower perch compressing the spring. Also, what struts are you running, what cc plates?

heck yea it is! I pulled a 1.85 60' when I ran my 11.75 @ 122 W/ 479RWHP and the 57s. this guy is making more than that and cut a 1.66. Id say a mid 11, if its not already listed in his sig.

how many spacers do u have sitting under the cc plate? my car is about 1/8 inch lower than yours in the front, but my strut shaft rises probably considerably higher than that... its kinda hard to tell from ur pics.. i believe if you have too many spacers below ur cc plate, ur car will sit higher than intended.. not sure about ur kit, but with the mm kit, their is supposed to be very little room between the upper spring perch and the lower cc plate. can u maybe take of the wheel and take some pics?

I have one spacer under the plates. On the upr they have a step down spacer that slides in the ball bearing on the caster camber plate. Then I have one spacer on top

Yep everything seems pretty much normal. Actually my strut bolts stick up ALOT further out of the CC plate, but I wanted to make sure they wernt in a bind and compressed too much lol....after having my tokico snap on my I want to take 0 chances.

As far as your ride height is concerned, all you have to do is jack up one side of your car at a time, remove your tire, then get a C clamp and adjust it to hook into those slots on the adjuster, and then turn away Mark where it started and turn it until its about 3/4s of an inch from where you started....then repeat on the otherside. Problem solved
