a guy is locally selling a mac cold air intake for 75. only thing is his came off a MAF car and mine is an 87 SD. he said all i need is a dummy sensor or a 3 to 3.5 pcv adapter. ??????????????????????????????????

ya you can get it through mac or bbk or what ever but you'll pay out the @ss like atleast 50$$ for that little peice of pipe.......

Uhm No you can't just cut the wire. But you can just unplug them from the sensor. Most likely you just get an unpluged meter.

or pick up a cheap used stocker on ebay and gut the inside of it and do a lil port work to it

Go to the link below and read the article - there is no HP to be gained with that set up over a stock box/silencer removed/K&N flat panel. The only reason to run a CAI like that is for cosmetic reasons.

This is a perfect example of what NOT to do. One of the very few things that SD has over MAF is the absence of air restriction to the inlet due to the mass air meter. Stuffing one in an not even using it is less than worthless.
