I have a 98 gt and always have problems starting on cold starts. The spark wires and coils are both msd and brand new. I changed them due to this problem but it still hessitates to turn on on cold starts. The spark plugs are original motorcraft platinum tip and ive had them for around 5,000 miles. What else can this problem be? HELP!

What all do you have done to your car. I had the same problem and it was in my tune. My brother has a stock GT and he had this problem. He took it in to Ford and they fixed it. I dont know what they did but his starts right up now.

I have full exhaust, pulleys, diablosport tune, 3:73 diff. , ram air intake, intake spacer and thats about it. I was thinking could it be my gas pump? But the car runs good when its fully warmed up

I've got a 98 gt and used to have the same problem. I can't say exactly what fixed it but my battery was going bad at the time ... I replaced it and put in a new fuel filter and it starts right up when it's cold now.

It would like, start then lop, lop lop, loploplop, lop, (work with me here) until it finally started ... that what you have going on too?

Mine does the same thing... up until OT it'll lob and act like it's running really rich. It's only when it's really friggin cold and the colder it is, the worse it acts.

I have the same problem now since it hit under 30 and stayed for a day or 2. I have all brand new plugs wires and coil packs fuel filters and batery with cables within 3 months. I belive its just the cold it was never a problem when it was above freezing
