I am sure this is a matter of opinion, but here is what I need.

:Word:

I am getting ready to deploy for a while which will give me a chance to save some $$. When I return I am going to pull the motor out of my car and build it up. I need some advice, and proven combonations. I need decent driving characteristics, but definitely more HP.

Stock Block
Forged pistons?
Connecting rods
Cam
Lifters
Push Rods
Heads
Upper/Lower
TB
MAF
Ability to handle 150 wet all day long

Info??????

if i was you i would invest in the 5.0l high performance book. it has many engine combo's that are proven and will give you something to read and dream about.

the weak link in your motor is the block which will split in half if abused above 450hp, the 90's had forged pistons, good crank and rods, if the na power is around 300 i would think that it would hold up to the shot, but i am just working of what power it will handle, not sure how stock pistons like the shot, gl over there come home safe and thank you

I have heard before that the 90 block had forged pistons. How do I know for sure? I do know that the biggest flaw in my motor is the heads, which I intend to replace. I just want to do everything all at once. 300-325 N/A rwhp is where I would like to be. with the ability to spray and not worry so much.
